Testing for Leaks
We perform leak tests in two stages. If a leak is detected, both the testing and the necessary repairs are covered under warranty at no cost to you. However, if no leak is found, the homeowner is responsible for the testing costs.
Based on our experience and that of other pool builders, suspicions of leaks in pools less than three years old often turn out to be unfounded.
Step 1: Initial Inspection and Bucket Test
- This is a straightforward process involving a visual inspection and a simple bucket test, which can typically be performed by the homeowner. We’re happy to provide guidance if needed.
- If you prefer, we can perform the initial inspection for a fee of $100.
- After this step, we’ll discuss the findings with you. If there is no significant indication of a leak, you can decide to stop the process.
Step 2: Professional Leak Testing
- If further investigation is needed, we conduct a professional leak test for a fee of $300.
- If this test confirms the presence of a leak, we will refund both testing fees ($100 and $300) and carry out the necessary repairs under warranty.
